Where is alannah hill based

Alannah Hill was born in in a small town Geeveston located in Tasmania, Australia. She is a fashion designer known not only in her country but internationally too. Alannah described the relationship with her family as dysfunctional and troubled, especially with her mother. At the age of seventy-six, her mother died and this news broke her down emotionally.

For a year, she took a break from her fashion work. Despite the shadows of her past life, Alannah created a brand that is still known around the world. Although her mother demeaned her, but Hill stood strong and made her life much better than what her mother imagined.

When Alanah turned seventeen, she became interested in the field of acting and wanted to pursue it as a career. Hence, the young Hill moved from her hometown to Melbourne in order to make her acting dream come true. I feel the art of sticky-beaking is a respectable cultural practice, part anthropologist, part private eye and part comedian". Alannah's uniquely ornamental vision along with a passionate belief in the power of 'Dressing Up' gave Alannah the success she dreamed about growing up with her parents and four siblings on an apple orchard in Geeveston Tasmania.

She was going to find her fortune - but how? She didn't know a soul and not a soul new her. A decade ago an Alannah show was a highlight, a spectacle that could feature anything from tap dancers to cabaret acts and cartwheels. Yet it still has 24 boutiques around the country and remains in the David Jones stable, appearing on the catwalk at the department store's summer launch.

Thus the threat to Australian designers. High prices demand the same level of originality and quality that consumers have come to expect from international designer brands — many of which they can snap up online and have delivered free to their door within days.

Forced to shut up shop this year were the designers Lisa Ho , who was in the business for 30 years, and Kirrily Johnston, who held court as one of the country's leading lights for a large part of the past decade.

Determined to cement its place on the world stage is the fashion and swimwear brand Zimmermann, whose quintessential Australian collection will make its debut at New York fashion week next month.
