This information is totally wrong. And amount of videos have nothing to do with space. You're correct, that would be totally wrong - if that was what the post said.
But I think you missed a key detail. It appears that you're referring to the calculation for the 32MB card. If you look closer, you'll see that it says a 32MB card can hold 19 videos with an average length of 3 minutes each. This is just to give readers a reference point for the actual capacity. Thanks Bryan, yours is the most comprehensive page yet for determining how many hours video can be recorded on what size memory card. I'm looking at essentially a camcorder Zoom Q8 to record a full length orchestra concert of approximately 1.
The camera format appears to be MOV although it is hard to tell. With MOV files at roughly ten times the size of mp4 files, and GB the largest capacity card the camera will hold, does that mean the most video I can hope to record on this camera with one card is 23 minutes? Audio is apparently recorded separately as WAV files, which are also uncompressed and thus very large. I'm thinking: Surely I'm wrong with these calculations?

Since SD cards are a lot easier to buy than upgrading the storage, I would highly recommend you to either regularly delete unwanted videos or invest in a good expansible NAS storage.
